External construction joint waterstops

Externally positioned construction joint waterstops are used for construction joints formed by the sectional execution of concrete structures where the installation of internally positioned construction joint waterstops is not feasible, for example due to reinforcement congestion. Compared to internally positioned construction joint waterstops, installation is generally simpler; however, the concreting process must be carried out with particular care in order to prevent air voids between the anchoring ribs.
